Let's Get Personal.

This blog post is a lot like different from any other posts that I had. This will be my last post for this year and truly, it has been an amazing year for me. Yes, there are a lot of ups and downs especially this month December but I am grateful to God that I am still here. I thank God for all the blessings and the grace that he's given me, and still giving me. A never ending grace. Thankyou, Lord.

To my family, to my very understanding and loving family especially to my parents, they say that "you can't choose your family" and I wanna prove them right. You have given me everything, from the most simple yet thoughtful to the most important things. I can't thank you enough because everything that you've done for me made me a better person. Yes, I am still on the process of becoming a better son, a better sibling to my younger brothers, and a better influence to the next generations of our family to come. I love you.

To my friends who are always there for me, who (fortunately) had all the patience a friend can have, to my friends who didn't leave me in times of my troubles especially what I've just been through this month, I couldn't ask for a much better circle of friends than you guys. You were all the strength that I needed. Thankyou.

And lastly, to this special person who I spent most of my 2013 with. It has been a roller-coaster ride for us, and I am thankful that somehow we managed to get off that ride, peacefully and in one piece. With you I learned what it is to love, to smile, and laugh and actually mean it. You have become a very integral part of my life because I hate to admit it, but you made me a better person. You we're one of those few people who listened and read my story, and I am very grateful with that. We may have ended up in a very bad situation, but I am still grateful and thankful that you're still here. We're still here. I look forward for this year and for the many years to come that I will be spending with you, as a good friend.

I want to let you guys know how thankful I am that you read my posts even though most of them are just plain "plain". I am very thankful for the support, especially when I get comments on my post, you guys don't know how much it means it to me and how much I appreciate it that you appreciate what I'm doing. I want to thank the brands that have been supporting me all throughout, my blog wouldn't even get traffic if weren't for you guys. Big thanks :)

This year taught me a lot things. Made a lot of mistakes. But never did I regret everything.

To everyone else, thankyou! I wish you all the best this coming 2014. All the best to all of us! Cheers!

HAPPY NEW YEAR! ♥

I Keep Dancing On My Own

Plaid Shirt (Adidas Neo Label)
Jeans (H&M)
Boots (Forever 21)
Photos by: Alejandro Taag

Finally had the chance to do a layered outfit! I had this jacket since last year from Flying Dutchman and until now, I think I've only worn it for 3 or 4 times (blame the weather here in the Philippines lol). And mostly, I only wore this jacket when I go out at night to attend parties or events, other than that I just leave it hanging inside my closet.

The plaid shirt is from Adidas Neo Label. I love that it is plaid, and I love that it's black and white! As you probably know by now, I love wearing outfits that matches and complements each other. And I usually go with patterns on my outfits like what I did in this one. I went for a black & white pattern with a little bit of grey in it (as you can see on the plaid and on the jacket), and the boots just made it even more perfect. I think black, white, and grey should be a MUST on a men's wardrobe because they just matches everything, from different colors to different pieces.

Anyway, we're still on holidays! And it's 3 days before we start another year, another year of awesomeness! How are you spending New Year's Eve? :)

Almost Christmas

BEANIE & SWEATER (ADIDAS NEO LABEL)
BOOTS (FOREVER 21)
JEANS (H&M)
PHOTOGRAPHY BY: ALEJANDRO TAAG

Hi everyone! I know it's been a long while since my last post. Things have been pretty rough for me this December. You know that feeling when things are just falling apart and you can't stop it from happening? Well, it's been a roller-coaster ride for me this month. But thankfully, I'm getting better! All thanks to God, and with some help of my friends! Can't put too much details about it cause it's pretty personal, but if you're wondering --- don't. Cause I'm good as new! Haha!

Anyway, 2 days left before Christmas! You guys excited? I bet you are! Well I am too, amidst everything bad that has happened to me this month I won't let it ruin my Christmas! And Christmas is all about giving, loving, and forgiving! ♥ So yeah, leaving it all everything behind this season and just let Christ handle everything :) No more room for hate!

Anyway, I hope you like this outfit though. The sweater is just perfect for this season because of the warm weather (I might have to double check on this lol). I also think this sweater is perfect if you plan to spend your Christmas lying on a couch watching movies with the fireplace on (my kind of Christmas!). Thanks to my Adidas Neo Label family for giving me this wonderful sweater and beanie!

Happy Holidays to you all! Have a good one!

Ciao! :)

All Is Khaki And Bright!

The holidays give you the perfect excuse to wear colors other than the boring selection of blacks, browns, and greys that make up 90 per cent of your wardrobe. ‘Tis the season to bring out hues that are merry and bright, and what better way to jingle bell rock the holiday’s trendiest colors than to sport Dockers Alpha Khakis in different shades of cool?
Khakis have never been this fun and stylish. With a rich variety of fits, cuts and colors that suit any personal taste and style, Dockers make fashion easy and uncomplicated even for the least fashion savvy men. What’s more, comfort doesn’t have to take the backseat. You can be stylish all you want, and still feel comfy in these tasteful pieces. No longer do you have to choose one over the other.

With endless Christmas parties left and right for you to go to this coming month, it would be nice to have the trendiest pairs of khakis ready. Start with Dockers Alpha Khaki Original Slim Fit. This series comes in a number of hip and bright colors that would go with every party theme and motif. If you want to look hot while still maintaining a conservative touch to your style, pick a pair in black paisley print or in herringbone stripe. The colors are far from bold but these pairs feature a subtle paisley or stripe pattern that adds just the right kind of flair to your look. Meanwhile, for the more adventurous types who are game to wear some color, some of the most interesting shades are brick red, old rose, Mid Blue Corduroy, Oxide, pesto and bisbee blue.

Pair up your khakis with these Dockers Alpha Khaki Red-Oxide, Oxford Shirt, Laundered Shirts!
Now if you prefer slimmer and sexier, Dockers Alpha Khaki Skinny Fit is just the thing for you. It comes in a refreshing array of colors including Reflecting Pond (a vibrant version of teal), Forged Iron (an interesting shade of grey), Chino (beige), and light blue. A cross between jeans and khaki, the Alpha series’ Skinny Fit may be worn at casual events or at more formal gatherings. It features great fabric with just the right amount of stretch for maximum comfort.
Of course the Alpha Khaki Standard Fit never goes out of style and comes in classic shades and also in bright, fun ones. Don a more relaxed look with this collection that gives you a little more room than the Slim and Skinny Fits and choose among the different colors including dark pebble, rifle green, mid blue and reflecting pond.

Bright Colored Dockers Canvass Belts
Spread the cheers this season by looking dashing and dapper—wear a bit of color and a little more of Dockers, and have a bright and wonderful Christmas!

ROYALTY: Power. Character. Quality.

As I was browsing through Royalty's facebook page, I immediately thought of RAN Online. The japanese looking jerseys, hoodies, crewnecks, and how the collection were delivered visually, they all take me back to my RAN online days (korean/japanese characters highschool dudes/girls fighting IN THEIR DOPE SCHOOL UNIFORMS... just check the game out! It's a pretty dope game.)

Enough about reminiscing RAN.
Royalty is a local streetwear brand founded this year, and it sucks that I only found out about them a week ago when I was looking for local brands that offers baseball jerseys. And I'm so lucky that I found Royalty cause they got what I'm looking for in baseball jersey!
My personal favorite!

Anyway, I haven't got in touch with any of their products yet, but looking at the pieces online I'm pretty sure that they are made of good quality and taste (come on, don't you just love those prints!). And what really catches my attention are the Japanese characters embedded, they just add up the attitude more. I'm a fan of anything jap, btw :))

So if you're into dope jerseys like what Royalty has to offer or you just want to feel like a japanese highschool guy, I highly suggest you check out Royalty. This brand's gonna be big, and I don't have doubts about that! Specially in menswear!

This will be included in their next collection! I wanna get my hands on that black sweater! They are also having a giveaway for this collection! Check their facebook page for infos!
Too much dopeness. Sadly, we have to wait for their release.
I also heard they're gonna be releasing their new collection pretty soon! So you better stay tuned!

Be sure to check them out! Just click this link ---> ROYALTY and you can also follow them on Instagram: @royaltycloltd

CULT SEES ALL

"CULT SEES ALL" is what Cult is all about. Cult is an independent streetwear label that focuses on bold designs such as the photos above. What I love about this label is how distinct the designs are, and very illustrative. Not to mention, the brand's logo is such an eye-catcher!

For now Cult offers shirts with different designs and illustrations, and also hoodies. The hoodies are to die for, dying to have one!

Plus, I also heard they're gonna have their new collection released soon! RED HOODIES, maybe?

Visit their page to know more about this dope brand! Click this link!

Or you can also visit them personally at Parafreaq, 2nd Floor VMall Greenhills!

M.I.A.M.I

Shirt (Adidas); Flannel Shirt (H&M); Denim Jeans (7 For All Mankind); Sneakers (H&M); Watch (G-Shock)
This would be my first time to post a look like this. This is not my usual style but I gotta say that I really love this outfit not only because it is pretty simple but because of its edginess. I kinda experimented on how to make a shirt outstandingly stylish and not boring by adding a flannel shirt and tying it around my waist. I also fancy how the denim jeans worked out perfectly for this outfit. I also rolled it up for the whole outfit not be boring and give emphasis to my high-cut sneakers and the socks.

So, whaddya think about this outfit? Yay or Nay?

STYLE ICON: David Gandy

"Shopping for men is such a chore. All you really need is a few style tips to get you on your way". - David Gandy
Another style icon feature, and this icon is just perfect for this feature because he is coming here in the Philippines and will be the new face of SM Men's Fashion!

This icon is none other than UK’s number one male model, and Mr Dolce & Gabanna (well, he's been modelling for the brand for years already!) David Gandy

I see David Gandy's style as impeccable yet very simple. I always see Gandy wearing suit in his interviews (YES, I AM A FAN). But the one thing that really amazes me is how David Gandy really gets everything right in his outfits, I mean, yes he's a supermodel and all and Dolce & Gabanna is just a one call away if ever he have outfit problems but what's perfect is how his outfits are perfectly tailored. And I think that's one thing that we can all learn --- getting the fit right, always. Finding the right cut suit and using a local tailor in order to get personal adjustments is a massive step in getting the right fitting suit.

Gandy’s style is definitively masculine; when he’s not providing an astute example of tailored perfection, he’s keeping it simple in well-fitting denim and bold blockbuster leathers. Gandy’s nominal approach is evident when dressing down too. While layers are one avenue in creating stylish outfits, a focus on fit and simplistic garments can often achieve the same result. For example, the signature Gandy casual look involves a shearling leather jacket with little more than a t-shirt and scarf for company.

David Gandy wears a mix of tailoring on a day-to-day basis. He certainly knows how to wear tailored blazers and waistcoats, and can often be seen using these suit separates with jeans, different colour trousers or even a simple t-shirt. David definitely knows his own body type and gets the fit PERFECT – it is almost like each item he wears was made exactly for him.

For casual days David still keeps his whole look smart and very fitted. There is nothing too outlandish, just basic v-neck and scoop neck tees, dark plain knitwear and slim fitting shirts. You do not often see this man in printed or graphic clothing, and it always fits him perfectly. He often goes without a belt if wearing jeans which just proves that he picks the right waist size in order to keep them up naturally – remember a belt should be an accessory in order to provide an individual touch to an outfit, not something you HAVE to use in order to stop your oversized trousers falling down! On the subject of accessories, David uses key gentlemen accessories such as pocket squares and lightweight scarves in order to really round out his tailored look.

Below are some of his lookbooks.

If you feel like you want to look like Gandy or be Gandy himself here are some key items that you may want to keep in mind:
  • Two-piece tailored suit (black/blue/grey).
  • Tailored jacket (Herringbone or Tweed).
  • Tailored tweed waistcoat.
  • Light wash jeans.
  • Slim fitting shirt / deep v-neck t-shirt.
  • Key accessories and footwear: Pocket square, skinny tie, lightweight scarves, smart black/brown leather shoes.
And as I have mentioned, David Gandy will become the new face of SM Men's Fashion and will be coming here in the Philippines this October for the Philippine Fashion Week! This is yet another milestone for the fashion industry here in the Philippines!

Coach

Sweater (American Apparel); Jacket (Chronic Streetwear); Jeans (SM Department Store); Sneakers (Nike Air Jordan); Cap (Oxygen)
Photos by: Justin Borja

Aside from loving preppy fashion, I also love the sporty-look. And it just so happens that sub-sports trend is the thing this season. Sub-sports trend is a combination of modern day sportswear with contemporary streetstyle pieces. What I love about this trend is that it allows you to experiment and just be creative -- it also shows your sporty side (even if you're just posing that you are sporty just like me!). Mixing pieces from your sports wardrobe with your other pieces is just plain magic
Key pieces to keep in mind for this trend? Bomber jackets, varsity jackets, sneakers (time to make use of those running shoes that you only get to use if you're in the mood to jog!), plus if you're a fan of leathers feel free to add it up in your outfit! And some trousers, of course.
I just love this cap from Oxygen. Aside from it being black, I just love the details of it. It's 1/2 leather which makes it so sleek and sophisticated. I think I've been wearing this cap for a lot of times now, don't blame me for loving it that much!

Feels like forever since I last posted something new here. This was supposed to be posted a week ago but then tons of stuff began to pile up so I 'kinda' forgot about it. So I only posted it now because it's Sunday and I have all the time in the world to do things that I should've been doing in the first place. Sucks to be a college student. No, I'm kidding, I love being a college student (somehow... haha!)

Prepfection

Sweater (H&M); White Shirt (Cotton On); Grey Jeans (Diesel); Shoes (Hugo Boss);
Belt (Kenneth Cole)

Photographed by: Justin Borja
Haha! This photo is just so funny. What a face! XD

What I wore last week when I watched The Conjuring at SM Aura with my friend. This look is perfect for school and if you're hanging out with your friends after school. Just like what I did, lol. I've always been a fan of preppy fashion (BLAME GOSSIP GIRL). Preppy fashion is just so classic and stylish, yes, it can give people the impression that you're a nerd or a dumb kid, but you have to admit, preppy fashion has got to be one of the most distinct styles there is. It's kinda hard to pull off this kind of style here in the Philippines considering how hot the weather is here, and preppy fashion requires some layering (for me, at least).
